PUBG Mobile 0.12.0 Update

What's next after PUBG mobile 0.11.5 update? Yeah, it's 0.12.0 update! This update will also bring some new guns, new features, new attachments, and many new features. So let us have a look at those features.

1. MP5K (Gun) :

MP5K is a new SMG gun coming to PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update. This gun will be available only on Vikendi map and will replace Vector from Vikendi map. This gun will require 9mm ammo. The MP5K is highly versatile with single, burst and full auto firing options. It can support all attachment types. View the video to know more about it.

2. Skorpion (Gun) :

It is a full-auto weapon pistol that works on 9mm ammo. Its capacity can be increased from default 20 rounds to 40 rounds using a standard extended magazine. It can be switched from single fire to full auto. The only disadvantage is that it has lower per bullet damage than other pistols. If you want to use this weapon, you have to wait for PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update.

3. Competitive mode will be re-added:

This mode was once available in PUBG but later it was removed. Now on public demand, they are bringing it back on PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update. Those players who don't know what it is or recently started players, let me explain it to you. So basically, it is an arcade mode where there are no bots i.e. all the players are real.
The minus point of this mode is that it takes 10 minutes or more, depending on the number of players, to load. This mode is perfect for those who hate bots or for pro players who want only real players to kill.

4. Canted sight (attachment) :

It is a secondary attachment that allows the player to quickly switch between the 1x Canted sight and the other scope used. It is already launched in PUBG PC, Xbox and PS4. To know more about Canted sight you can visit my post about it
It was planned to release in PUBG 0.11.5 update but later it was postponed to PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update

5. Death Cam (feature) :

Death Cam is a new feature coming to PUBG mobile   0.12.0 update. If you are playing the game and suddenly someone kills you then this Cam will allow you to view the scene i.e. after your death you can use the feature to know exactly who killed you, what gun the opponent used and other information. The main reason behind the adding of this feature is that many players were reporting the presence of hackers in the game. So PUBG added this feature to know whether there was a real hacker or not.

6. Bug tracking system :

Lagging is the worst enemy for online players. PUBG Corp. understands it and is trying its best to remove lagging as much as possible.
For this, PUBG is installing a software called Bug tracking system. This software will scan the game, detect any bug present in the game and will report it to the PUBG developers. The PUBG developers can, then work on that bug and remove it. This is just a concept for now but we hope to find it in the PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update.

7. More chats are added :

If you are bored with existing chats like "Help!", " I got supplies!" etc. then in the PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update you will be able to add some more chats in both male and female voices. And you can irritate your friends as like I do with my friends.

8. The White Eagle :

You will be able to have the White Eagle as your companion in the PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update. The Eagle will follow wherever you go.

9. Scope colors :

The PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update will let you change the color and shape of the pointer of a gun. People who were bored red color can change it to several colors including white, sky, pink, black and others.

Release date:

There is no officially confirmed release date for PUBG mobile 0.12.0 update, but the expected date, as of my prediction, is 20-25 April 2019. I repeat again this is my prediction and not officially confirmed. Once the date is officially confirmed, the date will be posted on our facebook page. So please like our page to get future updates.

Jeremiah Donaldson
Interviewed on: 8/17/2019

Jeremiah Donaldson is a designer and author from London, but Kentucky, not the UK. He's written several sci-fi and horror stories and designs games set in the worlds he's created for those stories. Read on to learn more about Jeremiah and the projects he's working on.

Some Basics
Tell me a bit about yourself.

How long have you been designing tabletop games?
Five to ten years.

Why did you start designing tabletop games?
It's an extension of my writing.

What game or games are you currently working on?
Death Derby expansion stuff (combat racing game), Post-apocalyptic Escapades (a 18+ RPG game), and Full Moon Tech (a capture type game in which rival biotech companies try to capture the most werewolf DNA before the government).

Have you designed any games that have been published?
Death Derby and The Disturbance Timeline RPG with its two modules.

What is your day job?
Was in call centers the last 5 years, but that's bad for my health and I'm in the process of switching things up.

Your Gaming Tastes
My readers would like to know more about you as a gamer.

Where do you prefer to play games?
Home.

Who do you normally game with?
Friends and family.

If you were to invite a few friends together for game night tonight, what games would you play?
It'd probably be up to them and it'd probably be Death Derby.

And what snacks would you eat?
Doritos.

Do you like to have music playing while you play games? If so, what kind?
Industrial Rock stuff (like Powerman 5k) and/or Industrial Techno (like Phosgore).

What's your favorite FLGS?
Don't have one.

What is your current favorite game? Least favorite that you still enjoy? Worst game you ever played?
My current favorite is my game Death Derby, there's not been repeat race in nearly 500 hours of playtime. Yahtzee. You Are the Maniac.

What is your favorite game mechanic? How about your least favorite?
No favorites, I just do what needs to be done to do what I want something to do and then to smooth it out.

What's your favorite game that you just can't ever seem to get to the table?
Any old Shadowrun tabletop game.

What styles of games do you play?
I like to play Board Games, Card Games, RPG Games, Video Games

Do you design different styles of games than what you play?
I like to design Card Games, RPG Games

OK, here's a pretty polarizing game. Do you like and play Cards Against Humanity?
No

You as a Designer
OK, now the bit that sets you apart from the typical gamer. Let's find out about you as a game designer.

When you design games, do you come up with a theme first and build the mechanics around that? Or do you come up with mechanics and then add a theme? Or something else?
I'm a writer, so the theme is always first. Furthermore, my main card games are an expansion of my RPG. Death Derby is the vehicle combat section pulled out and made into a game and Post-apocalyptic Escapades is a super stripped down version of the RPG itself.

Have you ever entered or won a game design competition?
No.

Do you have a current favorite game designer or idol?
Sid Meier

Where or when or how do you get your inspiration or come up with your best ideas?
Everywhere, but I also have a sandbox SF world that covers the next 2k years of human history that my SF and most the game stuff is set on.

How do you go about playtesting your games?
Extensively.

Do you like to work alone or as part of a team? Co-designers, artists, etc.?
Alone. Anything I need done is essentially contracted out as needed. Some playtesters also double as actors and cameramen, etc.

What do you feel is your biggest challenge as a game designer?
Marketing, but that's more on the publishing side.

If you could design a game within any IP, what would it be?
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscure

What do you wish someone had told you a long time ago about designing games?
Try it out sooner.

What advice would you like to share about designing games?
Playtest, playtest, and playtest. Then when you think you've playtested enough, playtest some more.

Would you like to tell my readers what games you're working on and how far along they are?
Published games, I have: Death Derby and The Disturbance Timeline RPG
Games that will soon be published are: Death Derby: Nature's Rage expansion
Games I feel are in the final development and tweaking stage are: Death Derby: High Octane
Games that I'm playtesting are: Post-apocalyptic Escapades
Games that are in the early stages of development and beta testing are: PA Escapades expansions: Mad Mansion and Escape from Xan
And games that are still in the very early idea phase are: Full Moon Tech, along with a few others: Scavenger Lords that stalled before Alpha, Post-apocalyptic Arena that failed initial playtests and was reworked into PA Escapades, and a serial killer capture game that was a collaboration which stalled a short ways into playtesting and inspired Full Moon Tech.

Are you a member of any Facebook or other design groups? (Game Maker's Lab, Card and Board Game Developers Guild, etc.)
The Game Crafter, the majority of FB groups are swamped with beginner questions and too noisy for real work.

And the oddly personal, but harmless stuff…
OK, enough of the game stuff, let's find out what really makes you tick! These are the questions that I'm sure are on everyone's minds!

Star Trek or Star Wars? Coke or Pepsi? VHS or Betamax?
Both. Pepsi. VHS.

What hobbies do you have besides tabletop games?
Writing, gardening, and taking care of my place.

What is something you learned in the last week?
That all the call centers in my town have bad air and I have to find another line of business to pay the bills.

Favorite type of music? Books? Movies?
Industrial. Non-fiction science and history. The ones not many others like like American History X and Fight Club.

What was the last book you read?
Several stories out of Stephen King's Everything's Eventual.

Do you play any musical instruments?
I wish.

Tell us something about yourself that you think might surprise people.
I'm going to try making my 1/2 acre of property self sufficient.

Tell us about something crazy that you once did.
I chased my married friend's husband out the door on break to apologize and risk a punch in the jaw to keep anyone involved from losing a job.

Biggest accident that turned out awesome?
I got a horrible infection in my left leg that cost me a job, but the job I went to is where I met a friend that helped me a great deal.

Who is your idol?
Neil Degrasse Tyson

What would you do if you had a time machine?
Probably run back and forth in time like I was on a road trip.

Are you an extrovert or introvert?
Introvert with short periods of extroversion.

If you could be any superhero, which one would you be?
Tony Stark

Have any pets?
Cats

When the next asteroid hits Earth, causing the Yellowstone caldera to explode, California to fall into the ocean, the sea levels to rise, and the next ice age to set in, what current games or other pastimes do you think (or hope) will survive into the next era of human civilization? What do you hope is underneath that asteroid to be wiped out of the human consciousness forever?
I think any game has a chance, which is why I want to make a couple stand alone card games, and the more those games teach as far as strategy goes, the more useful they'd be to anyone that finds them. Nothing would be wiped out though. Everything comes back around after enough time just like bell bottoms.

Just a Bit More
Thanks for answering all my crazy questions! Is there anything else you'd like to tell my readers?

I hope the interview thing doesn't bug out this far in. :)

RELAUNCH Of The Grav StuG Kickstarter. Up To 50.9% Discount!

Why relaunch, what has changed?

By allowing plastic tooling to do what it does best; making perfect copies in large volume I can reduce the cost of each kit with a relatively minor impact to the total funding goal required.
Most of the costs for this campaign are tied up in paying for the tools… Making more copies of the kit is a lesser expense comparatively. Spreading the substantial fixed costs of the tooling over a greater number of kits is a way for me to add value without adding risk to my backers.
I am aware that many of the UE/UK customers will have to contend with VAT or import taxes and that those fees may be something of an impediment. By reducing the price per kit significantly, I can absorb most or all of those fees within the kit price. Providing my backers with a better value, with an eye to gathering a larger backer base.

Why did I not do this before?

I based my price point on the number of kits I felt could reasonably sell.
In the previous launch, the costs were calculated with a total number of 1200 of kits sold. The estimate of 1200 total kits were driven by my understanding of past campaigns, my known customer base and a survey regarding this kit, sent out last September. Although the 1200 total may have been a reasonable estimate, it drove the price per kit higher than I would have liked.
The last campaign was relatively close~ 998 total kits backed, 83% funded $46,484 dollars raised. Close enough that I felt one more run was warranted, with some adjustments to price to make it more attractive or palatable for those who must look at their tax burden when a kit arrives.
This campaign has been targeted with a total of 1800 kits sold. Lowering the price per kit substantially to drive volume and still fund the campaign in a way that I can deliver with confidence.

I have complete confidence in this kit, its design and the quality I will deliver.
I have complete confidence that these kits are well priced and reflects a true value.

Discounts ranging from 38.2% to 50.9% for non retail backers.
Retailer level packs priced at 56.4% to 67.3% off.

Let's make this happen!

DE: Black Heart Might Be The Best Kabal

At first, I was afraid, I was petrified.

That's right folks, you heard it here first.  While I was balls deep in Flayed Skull in the beginning of all the rumors and previews, but now I think I might be some kind of Black Heart convert.  OK, hear me out, I can justify it I think.

Here is my reasoning:
  • The 6+++ bonus literally affects everything, from flesh to metal, right from the get-go to the rest of the game.  You always have it.
  • You don't need additional Archon tax to access the best Strategems, Warlord traits and artifacts in the book.  Instead of paying Archon tax, you're one step closer to buying a Warrior unit in a Venom.
  • With the improvement to our weapons, our damage certainly went up for the points. However, one thing remains unchanged and that's our durability.  Spirit Stones on everything will help keep our important pieces alive longer so we don't attrition as hard.
  • The Living Muse artifact makes that one Archon the single biggest damage amplifier in the codex (gives all Black Heart units within 6" of the Warlord re-roll 1s to Wound).  It affects every weapon type and is super good, but you have to walk around like a baller.

Just one little note about Writ of the Living Muse:  It's a huge damage amplifier but keeping everything that I can within 6" of the damn Archon might be a huge challenge.  It also makes that particular HQ a huge pain in everyone's ass and everyone is going to be gunning for him.  However, I'll just have to play him well and use all the long-range firepower that I have to really deliver some results in the opening phases of the game.  Otherwise, I'm kind of screwed!

Now when I look back at Flayed Skull, I think that the 3" extra move is the single best bonus it provides.  The re-roll 1s for Rapid Fire only really kick in with Splinter Rifles and if I'm not taking many Venoms or Warriors double-tapping, I'm not getting the best out of it.  The ignore cover part is also really nice since there's always some crap out there like CW Rangers, but I've been thinking back to all the 8th games where cover was game-changing.  Can't really think of times where it decided the game if I'm to be honest.

With that being said, I could argue that Agents of Vect and Labyrinthine Cunning was enough to win me over, but the sustained durability of all our units really did it for me.  Not paying additional Archon tax means that I can fit in more units and I think my next game will be full Kabal of the Black Heart.

Case in point, I'm going to roll with this in my Weds game this week:

2000 // 7 CP
Black Heart Battalion +3 CP

HQ:
Archon, Agonizer, Blaster = 91
Archon, VB, Blaster = 89

TROOP:
5x Warriors, Blaster = 47
Venom = 65
112

5x Warriors, Blaster = 47
Raider, Dark Lance = 85
132

10x Warriors, 2x Blaster, Dark Lance = 114
Raider, Dark Lance = 85
199

10x Warriors, 2x Blaster, Dark Lance = 114
Raider, Dark Lance = 85
199

10x Warriors, 2x Blaster, Dark Lance = 114
Raider, Dark Lance = 85
199

10x Warriors, 2x Blaster, Dark Lance = 114
Raider, Dark Lance = 85
199

HEAVY:
Ravager, 3x Dinsintegrators = 125
Ravager, 3x Dinsintegrators = 125
Ravager, 3x Dinsintegrators = 125

+++

Black Heart Air Wing +1 CP

FLYER:
Razorwing, 2x Dinsintegrators = 135
Razorwing, 2x Dinsintegrators = 135
Razorwing, 2x Dinsintegrators = 135

>>>

Firepower:
15 Disintegrators at BS3+
9 Dark Lances at BS3+
10 Blasters at BS3+
2 Blasters at BS2+
1 Splinter Cannon at BS3+
44 Splinter Rifles at BS3+
3 Razorwing Missiles at BS3+

If you look at the firepower arrangement of this list compared to the other ones I've poured out over the last couple of days, I think this is the most optimized and most balanced.  I got my command Raider where my Archons can go chill and I'm able to fit an extra Venom in there due to the points gained from not having a third detachment.  This also allowed me to take 4x full gunboats instead of the previous 3 while still having my 3/3 ratio of Ravagers and Razorwings.

I think tomorrow, I'll talk about shoving Wyches into someone's face at the start of the game because why not.  It only costs 160 points for 20 of them and Succubi are much cheaper now!

Brave Browser the Best privacy-focused Browser of 2020

Out of all the privacy-focused products and apps available on the market, Brave has been voted the best. Other winners of Product Hunt's Golden Kitty awards showed that there was a huge interest in privacy-enhancing products and apps such as chats, maps, and other collaboration tools.

An extremely productive year for Brave

Last year has been a pivotal one for the crypto industry, but few companies managed to see the kind of success Brave did. Almost every day of the year has been packed witch action, as the company managed to officially launch its browser, get its Basic Attention Token out, and onboard hundreds of thousands of verified publishers on its rewards platform.

Luckily, the effort Brave has been putting into its product hasn't gone unnoticed.

The company's revolutionary browser has been voted the best privacy-focused product of 2019, for which it received a Golden Kitty award. The awards, hosted by Product Hunt, were given to the most popular products across 23 different product categories.

Ryan Hoover, the founder of Product Hunt said:

"Our annual Golden Kitty awards celebrate all the great products that makers have launched throughout the year"

Brave's win is important for the company—with this year seeing the most user votes ever, it's a clear indicator of the browser's rapidly rising popularity.

Privacy and blockchain are the strongest forces in tech right now

If reaching 10 million monthly active users in December was Brave's crown achievement, then the Product Hunt award was the cherry on top.

The recognition Brave got from Product Hunt users shows that a market for privacy-focused apps is thriving. All of the apps and products that got a Golden Kitty award from Product Hunt users focused heavily on data protection. Everything from automatic investment apps and remote collaboration tools to smart home products emphasized their privacy.

AI and machine learning rose as another note-worthy trend, but blockchain seemed to be the most dominating force in app development. Blockchain-based messaging apps and maps were hugely popular with Product Hunt users, who seem to value innovation and security.

For those users, Brave is a perfect platform. The company's research and development team has recently debuted its privacy-preserving distributed VPN, which could potentially bring even more security to the user than its already existing Tor extension.

Brave's effort to revolutionize the advertising industry has also been recognized by some of the biggest names in publishing—major publications such as The Washington Post, The Guardian, NDTV, NPR, and Qz have all joined the platform. Some of the highest-ranking websites in the world, including Wikipedia, WikiHow, Vimeo, Internet Archive, and DuckDuckGo, are also among Brave's 390,000 verified publishers.
